Pakenham to become professional producer at Donmar
PakenhamLONDON -- Kate Pakenham, producer at London's That Old Vic theater, continues to be hired as professional producer in the Donmar Warehouse. Pakenham will join the 250-chair Covent Garden theater on Jan. 30, 30 days after Josie Rourke formally gets control like a.deb. from exiting Michael Grandage. As Old Vic producer for any.deb. Kevin Spacey, Pakenham's work incorporated creating for Mike Mendes' transatlantic company The Bridge Project, and creating "The Norman Conquests," which moved to Broadway, winning the Tony for the best Revival. She formerly directed and created factual TV for that BBC, ITV and Funnel 4. Pakenham replaces Nick Giles, who ankled the Donmar red carpet several weeks on This summer 31.
