'Rescue Me' goes out strong

The series finale of FX's "Rescue Me" on Wednesday drew 2.33 million overall viewers, the program's highest total since its fourth-season finale in 2007. Among adults 18-49, the show had its best performance since its fifth-season premiere in 2009. For its seventh and final season, "Rescue Me averaged 1.49 million total viewers, a 10% improvement from its previous season. In the 18-49 demo, viewership was virtually the same year-to-year.
