TV Globo leads Intl. Emmy noms

CANNES -- Brazil's TV Globo capped the amount of noms for that 39th Worldwide Emmy Honours, because it did this past year. The nominations, which spanned an archive 20 nations, were revealed through the Intl. Academy of Television Arts and Sciences at Cannes' Mipcom TV mart, which began Monday. The key thesps from Yellow Birds' "Millennium" trilogy, Michael Nyqvist and Noomi Rapace, nabbed performance nods. The docu category boasts Turner Argentina's "Confesiones p not Sicario," Canada's JS Kastner Producions' "Existence With Murder," Japan's Fuji Television Network's "The Nonfiction: Family Meeting -- many years within the Tanaka Family" and Germany's "Wild Japan," created by Studio Hamburg DocLights Naturfilm, that has been pre-bought by ORF, Arte, National Geographic and Parthenon Entertainment.
